In Loving Memory of Atul Mandalia
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Atul, the beloved owner of Run & Fly, has peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loved ones after bravely battling cancer.
Atul was a deeply private man, which is why we haven’t spoken publicly about his illness until now. He was more than just the heart of Run & Fly - he was the reason it thrived. His strong values, compassion, and creativity were woven into every stitch, every print, and every decision. He built something truly special - an inclusive, joyful, and ethical brand that brought colour and comfort to so many.
Atul was not just loved by his family and friends, but by our entire community. His legacy will live on through the work he started, and through all of us who continue to wear his vision with pride.
We send our deepest love and condolences to Atul’s wife, children, and family during this incredibly difficult time. He will be missed more than words can say.

Hi, I had been a Retail customer for a couple of years.
I always had a fantastic opinion of Atul, i remember struggling during Covid Times. It seemed that only and him were working at the time.
I am so sad to read this.
My sincere and deep condolences to the Family.

The world has lost a bright light.
Thank you for what you gave us. It has always been more than clothing. Run & Fly is a testament to your remarkable sincerity and generosity. It’s a platform that has spread joy and belonging. It’s a business model of care, one that ensures respect and care for everyone at every point of engagement. In this world, there is no more remarkable thing to do than to demonstrate and model such sincere thoughtfulness and love, especially in a sustainable way on a bewildering scale. You have reached so many. You have shown us all so much respect and love. We have all seen what can be possible, with an unwavering and far-reaching commitment to joy and sharing. There is more delight and connection in the world because of you. Your love, your ethos, your care, and your generosity will continue their ripples through the world, indefinitely.

I wan to reach out and give my condolences and also gratitude for everything Atul chose to be in this world for community building. I did know of his illness. Friends informed me while I was home visiting in May. I was saddened and yet could not help, but reflect on what an impactful life he had chosen for himself and his family. I realize that no words can adequately comfort those who are in the process of grieving. I offer compassion and comfort and again most of all gratitude. He was a humane being. His creations and vision lifted many of us, helped us feel included as the “cool kids”. The whimsy and comfort these clothes and patterns provide me as I navigate chronic health challenges are actually quite invaluable for me. I imagine that countless others feel the same. Blessings, Raina
