Absolutely love design and quality material. Size 12 seemed to run abit big, I got a Dino skirt aswell size 14 as have big hips, fits lovely got a 12 in the dress as smaller on top. The dress is big on my hips n baggy on top. Chunky safety pins saved the day. Dont know if sizing off or my funny shape, make sure you measure yourself properly. Totally worth it, fun happy clothes made beautifully 😍
I love this pinafore! I’ve had so many compliments when wearing it, esp the quirky print which is fun and bright without being too childlike. The sizing is generous; I bought my usual size and could probably have sized down as the fabric is stretchy, but decided I prefer it a bit loose and comfy rather than snug fitting, so I can stick a jumper under it in winter.
The fabric is lovely but the sizing is way off. Absolutely massive to say the least and really odd fit. Such a shame because these are a lovely print.
What's not to love about this - the print is amazing!!! Good quality, fits well, but you might want to size down, it's roomy.
Although the fabric design is really gorgeous, the sizing is stated incorrectly on the website. For instance, in size 14, the website says the length from waistband to hem is 17.5". However, it is in fact 20" long - an extra 2.5" on the length. The bib is also slightly longer. This totally changes the proportions of the pinny from a cute mini to something more matronly - it's almost knee-length rather than a mini.
In addition, the sizes are coming up really big. All my other pinnies are size 14 and fit perfectly. I ordered sizes 12 and 14 direct from Run & Fly, and the size 12 is the same width as my other size 14s when I lay it on top. There's also the extra length. Because the sizing is so large and the design longer, I think I would need a size 10 for it to look right - but they're all sold out. That means I either stick with the 12 and try to adjust it to fit, or miss out on this design, which I've been waiting for for a month and stayed in to order on the day it was released the second time. I understand design is going to vary from style to style, but the website should be accurate so people can order the correct size online.
In addition, compared to my Adventure Dinosaur, which are made of large panels of fabric so you can see the full design, the design across the front of the Jurassic Dinosaur pinny is chopped up into four different sections creating a look of clumps of rainbows and beheaded dinosaurs. With Adventure Dinosaur, the front of the skirt is one continuous piece, as is the back, and the pockets are sewn inside, so you can see the full design. With Jurassic Dinosaur, the front and back are each made of 2 panels and then there are patch pockets sewn across the front too, making it look as if it is made of 4 narrow strips of fabric. That means you don't get to see the full design - just slices. The appearance is of a dress made of off-cuts.
It also means, with all the seams and pieces of fabric on top of each other, and with the extra length, the pinny is quite a bulky, substantial garment.
It's a lovely dress spoiled.
